If you still attend the Saturday Farmer's Market, could I reserve a couple pounds of earthworms? Last time I checked, they were $20/lb. Let me know.

Cesar:congrats on your new camera. I used to have a G12 but then I swchited to the NEX-5n, as you know. I liked the abilty to use vintage Manual focus lenses. I think the G1X is better than the Canon M , which has received poor reviews. I am waiting for the NEX-6 which can be controlled by iOS or Android apps, as realtime viewer and remote for either video or stills.It is great to have a larger sensor. I am like you, I always have a real camera (not phone camera) with me. My pocket camera is a Lumix TS3 , and I generally carry my NEX-5n as well as my Canon T2i. I can put the Canon in my tank bag with a bit of padding.Use RAW when you really want an enlargement, or when you take a group photo. This can compensate for exposure errors which always happen on valuable must have photos.If you do a slight contrast enhancement or levels/curves adjustment the shallow depth of field will give your photo some SNAP , if you know what I meanbob //

Thanks Bob. I'm looking fowrrad to learning more about the RAW format. I can't be thankful enough for the technology we have at our disposal these days, and think about what is next. It is amazing when we compare to our old negative film cameras. Although I actually think I was a better photographer then, when I used my Minolta Maxxum 7000. I was pretty good about guessing the results I would get out of a photo, especially in terms of light and exposure. I was rarely surprised after processing the film. Now with the digital cameras I know I can experiment with f-stops and camera angles and many other features, and I can see the results immediately. It has become a try and error approach, making me lazy as a photographer. Perhaps this G1 X will assist me in being more thoughtful about the shots I'm taking. And the RAW format may teach me what we used to learn possible to be done at the processing film side of the equation. All in all, I'm satisfied with what I have and look fowrrad to the landscapes, roads, and the beautiful motorcycles that I will photograph in front of these beautiful landscapes.
