Hi Ray,Typically when a company is intteeserd in an area and they have researched that you have your mineral rights, they will send you either a standard company lease in the mail or a commitment letter with an offer of a bonus and royalty.If they are really hot for your minerals you might get a knock on the door. If they knock on your door then you know they are serious about leasing.I would of course recommend that you get legal representation before signing anything. Talk to you neighbors, organize, bargain as a group and you will get a better deal because you have more leverage. Just my 2 cents.Rockpick
